Best remote control for my Sony A7RIII
D.R. Smith replied to D.R. Smith's topic in Sony Alpha Full Frame Cameras
Thanks for the heads up. -
I hope this is the place to ask this. If not, please disregard it. I have been trying to use the Imagine Edge App with my A7RIII and it is so frustrating I have just stopped trying. So, I've gone in search of a remote control. Preferably a wireless one. I've had my eye on the Sony RMT-P1BT Wireless Remote Commander but the ratings on B&H are less than stellar. I shoot outdoor photos almost exclusively and really need a reliable remote. I'm hoping you folks can recommend the best remote control choice. Thanks in advance!

Hey if this is the wrong forum for this question, I apologize in advance. I need a zoon lens for my new A7RIII that is at least 600mm for nature, wildlife, birds, etc photography. Ideally, I would get the Son 200-600mm lens, but with tax, it is over $2000 and that's stretching my budget right now. I saw on B&H the Sigma 150-600mm w/ MC-11 adapter at about 1/2 the price. The reviews were mixed and I'm not entirely certain it would work on the A7RIII. I have a Sigma 100-400mm with the MC-11 that is okay, but can only really work in AF-S mode and is quite heavy so I don't use it much

Hi everyone. I'm pretty new here. I have a Sony A7III and shoot mostly outdoors photography. I'm considering buying a 200-600mm lens but have also heard rumors that Sony is going to be introducing the Sony A7IV soon. I have a 400mm lens that works for most purposes so the longer length isn't that critical and I'm wondering if I should save my money and wait till the A7IV comes out. Has anyone heard when Sony expects to release that camera. If it's going to be fairly soon, I will probably hold off buying the lens, if not, well... Any thoughts you folks might have would be

Need affordable walkaround lens for A7III
D.R. Smith replied to D.R. Smith's topic in Sony Alpha Full Frame Lenses
Thank you both for your thoughts. Much appreciated. -
Hi. I’m trying to find an affordable lens for my A7III that I can attach and walk around the neighborhood with. I live in a semi-rural area so I want something that will be good for landscape shots too. Id prefer not to carry around a large lens on my walks. If anyone has any suggestions I’d be very appreciative. Thanks

Focus point moves between photos
D.R. Smith replied to D.R. Smith's topic in Sony Alpha Full Frame Cameras
Thanks for your reply. I did not know about re-centering by pressing the multi-selector. Thanks for the tip. -
I'm new to my Sony A7III and for the most part happy, but recently I've noticed after I take a picture and move somewhere to take another, the green focus point has moved and I have to use the joy stick to recenter it. I like to keep it centered for those run and gun type of shots. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!

Clear settings in MR Memory on Sony A7III
D.R. Smith posted a topic in Sony Alpha Full Frame Cameras
I was following a YouTube tutorial and made some setting changes and saved them to the 1 on the MR (Memory Recall) Memory. Does anyone know how to clear those settings? Location: Camera Settings I menu, Page 3. Thanks!- 2 replies

Sigma 100-400mm With MC-11 Adapter for A7III
D.R. Smith replied to D.R. Smith's topic in Sony Alpha Full Frame Lenses
Please disregard. I have found the answers to my questions. Thanks anyway. -
Hi All. I do a lot of outdoor photography; landscape, nature, wildlife when I can find it. I recently switched from a Canon 80D to a Sony A7III. I'm torn between two lenses and was wondering if any of you could help. First Sigma has a 100-400mm f/5.6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF that can be coupled with the Sigma MC-11 mount converter Canon EF-E. This seems like a good way to go except everywhere I usually shop says they are on back order and havve no idea when they will get them in. I did find a refurbished version of this lens that I could buy but I'm hesitant to buy

Hi. I didn't see this posted so thought I'd ask it here. I want a 100-400mm lens for my Sony A7III but can't afford any of the Sony lenses. I was wonderinig if anyone could tell me if the Tamron 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for Canon EF would work if I paired it with my Metabones EF-E mount T adapter? I have tried asking Metabones, Sony, and Tamron but got no response. B&H and Adorama didn't really seem to know. Any help anyone here could give would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Hi. If this isn't the place to post this, I apologize. I'm really new to my Sony A7III and foolishly tried to clean some tough dust spots off my sensor by myself. Now I have more spots than I had before and I think I have a kind of smear on one side. Can anyone tell me what to look for to know if I have damaged the surface of the sensor? I'm going to have to get it professionally cleaned obviously, but I'm just curious if it's going to be a cleaninig or something major. I'm going to attach a couple of files that show the spots. Thanks very much in advance.
