Heavy metal ghosts of the machine age.

This is part of a series i'm working on at the moment, my philosophical rationale is to paint the long term impermanence and ultimate insignificance of large scale human engineering against the infinitely sublime vastness of natural open space.

The crane in these images is from the 1960,s so im told, still being used today.

When it was moving it was creaking all over the place like some unwieldly vintage robot, i suggested to the workmen to give it a good going over with some rp7, they had a laugh on that one.
