  1. Yes, I have Cleaned sensors for about a 10 years by now. The best product I have ever had is the Artic Butterfly. It's easy, it's fast and it's safe. The only downside is it's not wet cleaning, so any water droops of moist residue need a wet cleaning, but for anything else Artic Butterfly is simply the best I have ever used.
  2. Yes, a 50mm 1.8, is about 75mm f/2.8 on full frame, very suitable for portraiture. If you are not planing to get a FF, then get the APS-C version (Sony 50mm F/1.8 OSS), an alternative is the Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN A, it's not as fast but slightly better focal length.
  3. I waited for my copy for over two month (in Europe), not I bought the A99II so cancelled the order and buying an A-mount G2 (subpar quality to the GM, but cheaper and for a all round better camera).
  4. There are Sigma lenses for A-mount, however Sigma have stopped releasing new lenses for anything but Canon and Nikon. Tamron however, have about the same lenses in A-mount as they do for Canikon. Sony quality is not higher at all on A-mount, it's about the same as Canikon. The GM lenses on E mount is superior but on E mount, not A mount. Sony's prices are simply based on supply and demand. A-mount or Minolta mount is not compatible with E mount, however, A-mount lenses can of course be adapted to E mount. I love my A99II, the best Camera ever overall.
  5. My thoughts exactly, I use Photoshop elements (the small home edition), and even elements have photo stacking, so what'ts the point, is it better, does it have others features or just a stand alone possibility?
  6. Actually it's a fact. Your are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Do some reading before making such claims: http://briansmith.com/flange-focal-distance-guide/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange_focal_distance http://cameramarket.eu/data/pdf/cameramarket_Lens%20mounts%20and%20flange%20focal%20distances.pdf
  7. The flange distance is part of the E mount definition, so this is identical on all E mounts and any changes and it will no longer be E mount compatible.
  8. Or buy the Sony A-mount version depending on you current adaptor. I have the lens for A-mount and it's great, tack sharp wide open, but I did have to use the doc to adjust AF. However with AF sensors on the sensor, there should be many problems AF this lens on E mount if you use the LAEA3.
  9. Personally I'll be getting a A99II, I can't say I won't get an E mount eventually, I would have gone for a A7RII by now if Sony had not announced the A99M2 earlyere this year. I do disagree with this statesmen though "As for the idea that Sony could put the a99II autofocus into the a9—of course they can do that, if they put a SLT mirror into the a9!", the shot flang distance doesn't allow a mirror of appropriate size to be mounted into an A9 body. The A9 body size could be dSLT size but the flang distance is what matters as far at SLT go's.
  10. Are any of you considering the new A99M2 or is it E-mount only now?
  11. Now when the A99M2 is here and we know what Sony did, we can stop speculation. They did put A7RII technology into an A-mount body with some AF improvements - called hybrid AF, using both the PDAF of SLT 's and the on sensor AF from A7RII into the mix. Will it safe A-mount over time no, only the marked can do that, but A-mount will exists for some time yet.
  12. I stand corrected of course, A99M2 did come in 2016 although out of stock already, most shops won't have them anytime soon probably not in time for Christmas but who knows.
  13. Wow this is a very conspiratorial statement, it's high unlikely someone is stating the obvious trying to scar off A-mount user to sell cheaply.
  14. Personally I lean towards Pentax K1 FF camera, cheap build in GPS, best sealing on the market etc., now I'll hate to lose EVF but hey you can't have it. Sony have to give to a camera of equal quality to even considering making more A-mount investments - do not have many FF lenses as it is. I do not believe Sony will spend resources on A-mount, why should they, it's dead pure and simple, if not in 2016 then in 2020.
