  1. Please tell us you A6500 camera settings and how did you sharpen as these are AWESOME results! I have the same lens and would like to know what settings you had for the A6500 and the Sigma Sport 150-600, which focus mode ect, and did you change the Sigmas focus speed and IS? Thanks Christopher
  2. Hi you can take a good picture of the rear of that lens mount and we can tell you what mount it is and on Amazon or eBay can get the adapter for less than $20 and it's a good lens and with your A6000 you can manual focus easy and fun! Christopher
  3. Hi the Tamron 150-600 Sony A mount is not released yet, I expect it will be shipping in December and we will get some feedback and hope it's better than the G1. Christopher
  4. Years ago I did the same with 2 Canon FD rear lens caps and worked very good. I used what I think is the best glue is JB Weld 24 hr 2 part glue. I was going to do the same for my Sony FE lenses but decided to try the Lens Flipper, yes cost more be really handy and more useful as you can carry 2 lenses over your shoulder or on your belt with their acc. Just my 2 cents. Christopher
  5. Hello Maurizio, from all I have read this is normal! I believe the reason is when you focus at say 2.8 and then take the shot at say f/8 the focus can shift and Sony felt that if the camera did that the image may be soft so they don't open the aperture to f/2.8 like some of the older Sony lenses. I can't say if I like it this way but Sony knows about it and I think Steve Huff Photo was the first to point this out. I am sure there are others now that are aware of this condition but I have not read a Sony explanation as of yet. So all we can do is wait and enjoy these lenses until we get more info. When the Sony 90 mm 2.8 first came out and I reported that at f/9 it had a weird issue with the AF in C-AF mode but in S-AF it was better and this was do to the way Sony used Phase AF or Contrast AF. 6. Hello All, here in the USA State Farm is the best value for camera EQ, for a non Pro that is nothing online with your name (that's what I was told) is $1.90 per $100, and as a Pro I think it was $2.50 per $100. Since I am not a working Pro I don't recall the exact cost and this insurance covers stolen and drop insurance but but not everyday wear and tear on the photo EQ. So if you are in the USA it's worth looking into, also in the USA an a working Pro the PPA Professional Photographers Association has a good insurance program. Christopher
  7. I second the Wasabi batts from Amazon, for $26.99 you get 2 NP-FW50 and a charger but note I only use the Wasabi batts in the small Sony charger and found the they last longer almost as long a the real Sony's. When I started using the Wasabi charger I would say that the Wasiabi batts lasted about 75-%85% as long and I think that's because that charger does not charge them to 95%-100% where the Sony chargers do. So the Wasabi charger is a backup. Also when I had an issue with the Wasabi charger I called Bluenook the sellers to Amazon they sent me a new charger and I did not need to pay to return the bad charger back to them! They have a 3 year warranty so I am a happy customer when it comes to having $13.50 each backup NP-FW50 and a free charger. Also last point they and others say "Cells made in Japan" I am 99.% sure that's a lie all made in China but for the $$ good purchase, what I want to do is cut a NP-FW50 open and see if it has the needed protection circuit and I am sure some don't and that's BAD! Christopher
  8. Well allot of great answers, but the best macro is the Tokina Macro sharp and super contrast and the best bokeh. They are not cheap when found used but there are many reviews about them. Thanks to the many suggestions all of them are a great macros. I think if cost is the main factor then choose the best deal and you can get cheap E-Mount adapters on Ebay. Christopher
  9. I also have Capture One Pro 8 for Sony and upgraded to Pro and just downloaded 9 and went to complete the update and it won't do a free update, and it would be just crazy to pay $99 when you could just start new for $50 and create a new account? I think Phase One is just trying to get more money since that Pro 8 (Sony Deal) is not been around long with all the issues and updates and now they want us to pay $99? I think a small say $20 upgrade from Pro 8 to Pro 9 is fair but I won't pay $99. Thanks Christopher
  10. Hello all, I have owned all of the A7 series and yes your can feel the weight BUT it's a non factor to me, the A7II & A7rII feel better made and with the IBIS and and other features and if you add a RRS L plate for the body it feels great and better with the battery grip, as I have had the Canon Pro body's and lover the better grip than the 6D & 5D's that I am at home with the A7rII & battery grip when using the Tamron 150-600 handheld or with a mono pod! So to give you feedback, yes it's a bit heaver but with some small lenses options it's a non factor! Also you can just use the 1 Sony battery in the grip to save a few ounces but I would rather use both so changing batteries are much less and saves time. My 2 cents worth. Christopher
  11. Hello All, could it be the speed of the SD card used? I would think just maybe it's writing to the card and a faster card read/write would have some effect and the faster would be less freezing? Christopher
  12. Try AF-S mode, on my A7MII and the Sony 90 mm macro and at F/9-F22 in the AF-C mode it would focus in-out over and over but on AF-S at same F/9-F/22 works great in low contrast or outside, so try AF-S mode. Christopher
  13. Hi All, on the Sony A7r, there was someone that had Hot pixels and wrote how to remove them or should I say in the process he went threw the camera mapped them out, I think it was DPreview or FM. Found it thank's to snapsy on FM: Those likely aren't stuck pixels - they're just hot pixels from the long exposure. You can tell for sure by forcing a stuck pixel remapping cycle, which previous A7-series models do automatically I think every 30 days. To force the cycle, set the camera's clock a few months forward then power the camera off. When you do you should hear some loudish shutter noises - that's the camera performing a remapping cycle. Worth a try? Christopher
  14. Hello All, yes I have seen this on all of my A7 body's, I am not sure it was the 55 or the other Sony FE but I think it's the OLED viewfinder, and if I recall right it's not a line but a slightly darker fuzzy line. I think it's normal. Christopher
  15. Hello Phillip, really like shot #1 & #3, what did you use for image processing, if you would explain what you did? Really nice! Christopher
