  1. My understanding is that weight can be added the balancing base of most Glide Cams. Hence, camera weight, should not be a problem. I personally prefer Sony camcorders with a gyroscopic lens like the AX33 or AX53.
  2. They keep changing the settings options which do indeed make things confusing. What exactly are you trying to shoot? Do you plan on uploading these videos to a website like YouTube? What program do you plan to edit these videos with?
  3. It sounds like indeed they have different presets. The A6300 is three years younger than the A5000. I'd try using manual settings for both to get them to match. Even then there may be some differences.
  4. This sounds like a death rattle. I experienced the exact same thing when my A33 died. Try leaving the battery out of the camera for one hour and then restarting. (I presume you've already tried this) Does the battery still charge inside of the camera? Does a light come on while the camera is plugged in while turned off?
  5. Yes, many retail stores do not have higher end items on hand in the store, but they can be ordered for you. It's safer than buying online. Also, consider Best Buy as the ordered items can be returned to ANY store location in the country. Buying online mean doing a return online. I believe you will need a 64G SD car to record 4K video. Most stores will let you test it out. If 4K video is your primary interest I'd also check out the Sony AX53 camcorder. By tax laws camcorders have some features SLRs cannot.
  6. Is there are reason you need three separate A7 bodies? The A7S will probably be the harder one to find because it's older. Best Buy should carry all three models. Even if they do not have them on hand in the store if you place your order there (rather than online) they can ship everything to your home address for free. The return policy will be the same as if you bought it in store, hence very easy. Buying online means doing returns online.
  7. I am not aware of a way to slow down or space our continuous shooting. Just like any SLR, yes you can set if for continuous shooting.
  8. Yes, that looks like a real defect problem. The seller should accept your return since the product is defective. But of course it depends on the seller.
  9. I'd try "formatting" the card. If you have the same results, try another card. If you have the same results, it's a problem with the camera, update the firmware.
  10. You may need to adjust your display on the camera itself. It may be set to auto. Hence the screen will auto adjust to darker under brighter conditions and and brighter under darker conditions. You can manually adjust you viewfinder and screen to a constant desired setting.
  11. Part of the problem is that it may be the printer software which is "zooming way in on the photo", hence it causes distortions. Try to zoom in on the specific area you want in Photoshop and crop it, and save it. This way the printer software will not have to zoom in. You can also increase the physical size of the photo in Photoshop while cropping. It helps a lot. Many people increase the DPI while NOT increasing the physical size of the photo. Blow it up to 30x30 and then crop and resave at your desired size.
  12. He's a little behind the times to have not even tried out the video on any Sony mirrorless SLR. The NEX series came out in 2010.
  13. You're welcome. I guess you figured out these problems on your own.
  14. If more of these people had turned out to vote on Wednesday it could have pushed Hillary over the top.
