Which flashgun for A7ii ?

I’ve just upgraded to the A7ii and want to add a flashgun to my kit. I’ve never owned a flashgun before and would appreciate your recommendations. I’ve been looking at Metz and Godox models. What’s your experience of these please?

I would strongly suggest Godox. I had Metz years ago and then switched from Metz to Yongnuo and then to Godox, which supports all the features like HSS and TTL plus the also have a very good remote trigger...

This picture was taken with a Godox 685s on a lightstand with a shoot through umbrella.

Set the camera up to 1/200 @ f1.4 and let the flash set itself via TTL - piece of cake. The kit 685 plus the trigger X1 will set you back about USD 150 - that's hard to beat
