nisman
Hi guys, can anyone help out which one should i buy. If i want to shoot indoor and outdoor would i still to the 30mm Sigma? Since it is a wider lens. And i heard that 30mm Sigma noise will be noisy if shooting video.
Advertisement Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Hi nisman, Take a look here Sigma 30mm F2.8 or 60mm F2.8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Username
` Lenses are not noisy if you use a separate mic ... which is SOP. As to choosing one or the other, they are meant to be sold as a pair, and priced to be afforded as a pair. IIRC when they were first introduced, they were offered only as a pair at a combined single price. So, buy both ! BTW even if you insist on using the built-in mics, lenses are pretty quiet in manual focus.
Guest Jaf-Photo
I keep making this point but it is worth repeating. A6x000 users should really consider the Sony branded primes before the Sigma primes. There are several reasons but the big points are: 1) Full support for Sony hybrid autofocus 2) OSS stabilisation 3) Attractive image quality To me, Sony hybrid autofocus is the main selling point of their cameras so you're wasting that by going with Sigma. When it comes to video, Sony E 35mm f1.8 has faster autofocus than the Sigma 30mm f2.8. The Sony also has OSS which makes hand-held shooting possible. Noise is not a big factor. There might be some faint clicking sounds from the Sigma focusing mechanism but nothing that will drown out other sounds.
nisman
Ok thanks. The reason I want to buy sigma lens is due to my budget. Sony lens are more expensive that’s y
Guest Jaf-Photo
Of course and the Sigmas are good budget choices. But the Sony lenses aren't really that much more expensive. I got my 35/1.8 new for $250 and the 50/1.8 for less than $200. The use I've had from them is worth a lot more.
