What is the most advisable way to remove a lens?

 

Disconnect the camera first and then remove the lens, irrespective of the diaphragm being used after the camera is switched off, the blades are set to the closed position ex. f / 16. In this way the lens remains with the aperture closed for as long as it is stored.

 

or

 

place the diaphragm at the maximum aperture ex. f / 1.4 and remove the lens with the camera connected. In this way the lens keeps the diaphragm blades collected/ open while it is stored.

 

What does Sony recommend?

Lenses are always stored with the aperture closed. This is the natural state of the helicoid and it also prevents oil from getting onto the blades.
