Broken shutter curtain!

I seem to be one week out of warranty, !@£$%^&* - the camera threw a blade (I have the resultant image) and I'm just finishing up a US road trip. I fly back to the UK via NYC on 02 June.

 

It's not ideal, but I've fallen back on a.n.other camera body.

 

It's not the same immersive experience at all.

 

Whom do I contact?

Can it be fixed?

The blade has gone inwards, towards the sensor, which is a worry.

 

How do I check how many accusations (just curious)?

It's worth attempting to get it fixed under warranty, at least report it asap to the shop you bought it from. They might overlook the extra week / consider it happened during warranty, even if you can't get it to them for another month. Everything's fixable (else they give you a refurb), just a matter of whether it's economical to do so.

Bought on Amazon, no idea who from, paperwork back in the UK.

 

Was 'forced' to go out and buy a slower 35mm f2 lens for the D800 once my 7r failed, it being my 2nd camera - it just isn't the same experience as the 7r and the Leica 35 mm combo'

 

I miss my Sony!
