PhotoMarj
My Sony a7 ii recently had a new LCD put in by Sony because it was scratched. It was fine for a few weeks, but now it looks very light and there is a blue tinge to all the images. When I look through the viewfinder the images look true to the exposure. I can't find anything about this online so I would welcome advice.
Advertisement Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Hi PhotoMarj, Take a look here LCD has blue tint. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
VTC
What's the image look like if passed from camera HDMI out to a TV or external recorder? Regardless, I wouldn't wait around here for an answer for a possible consumer side voodoo fix. I'd send it back before too much time passes and Sony repair throws up their hands and says, "It's not us." (My experience has been one of the channels on the ribbon connector has lost contact to the termination board block. These connections are tiny so it wouldn't take much to disturb connectivity. You'll get the same effect by slightly skewing the video connector out of a computer leading to the display.)
