Looking for fixed lenses which big aperture (without onions!)

Hi everyone,

 

I am planning to buy a new full frame sony camera. For my next camera, I am looking for new lenses.

 

My wishlist for thoses lenses are:

 

- 3 lenses (first: around 20-25mm, second: around 35mm, third: around 85mm)

- aperture f/1.4

- no onions in the light bokeh

 

Does anyone has a suggestion in this regard?

Such requirements hit me as drawn more

from reading than from doing .... 

    

Best bet if you insist on the specifications 

you listed is to forget Sony ... and Sony's 

competitors ... and go for Leica M. While 

you could put the M-lenses on your Sony, 

only a Leica body offers a microlens array

especially designed for short back focus 

lenses. Consider using BOTH Sony and 

Leica bodies. Each has its purpose.

I mean, if you're thinking of using native AF lenses, you'll have to look at the options that are available and pick the ones that suit your taste and wallet. If you're open to MF or even adapted lenses, there's near endless choice. Just do the research and look at a lot of sample images. While manual lenses and adapted lenses are perfectly fine, I'd say native AF lenses are really what the A7 Mk2 series is about.

I am only fine with native AF lenses.

 

So I think, there is no relevant lense with f/1.4 without onions in the range of 24-35mm.

It's not a huge category of lenses for any camera. If you really prioritise bokeh in a wide lens then maybe a good compromise would be to adapt Sigma 24/1.4 or 35/1.4 Art lenses.
