NEX-VG30 issue with tracking foucs and White Balance

Hi all.

 

I am using a Sony NEX-VG30 for filming.

 

Unfortunately the tracking focus does only work with the White Balance Auto mode. In other WB-settings (like „manual“ etc.) I can’t use the tracking focus.

 

Unfortunately I can’t find any info about it in the Sony handbook.

 

Maybe somebody here can help me.

 

Is my cam damaged or is this a normal phenomenon?

 

What ist he reason for the failure of the tracking focus in other WB-modes than Auto?
