Sony a6000 Lines in pictures / Banding

Recommended Posts

In the normal picture, I see no banding. In the funky pictures, I see a lot of banding.

There is always a faint banding from the physical structure of the sensor. That faint banding can be amplified by over-processing.

That's probably what happened in the funky pictures, right?

HI jaf

What do you mean by saying funky?

You mean the photos without lens?

I have other digital cameras and I'm not having any issues at all whatever processing I apply. With my a6000 even mild processing sometimes is amplifying banding.

You take pictures without the lens? That's beyond funky.

I have already told you that recent Sony sensors have very faint banding due to the physical structure of the sensor.

It is not a problem if you process your photos properly, instead of just using sliders to boost the contrast and sharpness.

I saw no banding in tne photo that you took normally and didn't process.

You're becoming a bit obcessive over a non-issue, here.
