shoots in three brackets on single shot - A7II

I have set my A7II to "single shot" but intermittently it shoots three shots as if I had set it to shoot in brackets mode.  Sometimes, but much less so, it shoots in four brackets, again in single shot.

 

How do I correct this or is the camera broken?  Is this a common problem with these cameras?

Your camera is set to ISO Auto Multi Frame noise reduction.

Some of my cameras do that .... various brands. 

It seems to me that it's related to being very slow 

and gentle with the release button, prolly making 

it linger exactly in release position, so it sends a 

"stuttering" signal instead of a clean single pulse. 

   

I've not noticed any particular body growing ever

more susceptible to this, so it doesn't seem to be 

a progressive failure or deterioration. Just a fluky

side effect of microswitch shutter triggers.
