remote has only limited possibilities

Hi,

 

Since an update my remote app is only showing very limited possibilities.

Basically I can only press the shutter, and choose between direct shot or 2 sec selftimer.

All other options are not available.

 

I've tried updating the camera software, but got the message that it wasn't necessary. I also deleted the app from my IPhone and re-installed it.

 

Any ideas on how to solve this? See attach for a screenshot of my remote.

You really need to update the App, and maybe camera firmware. I had the same behavior after update it's ok.

If i'm not wrong,you have to pulse "disp" and then your options will be shutter speed, aperture and ISO

Thanks for the ideas, but I had already updated, and re-installed the app. And when I connect the A7 to my mac for a firmware update it says I don't need one.

Als, the DISP button just toggles the display, it doesn't show more options on the display.

found it.

I had to connect the camera via WIFI to the internet, then log in the playmemories app and update the remote there.

Why is that so hard to explain somewhere on the sony manual pages?
