melias99
izzikiorage Several things: It is definitely better to charge using the external charger that comes with the Wasabi kit. That way you can continue to shoot while the other cell is charging. Secondly, Several things exist that help to keep batteries longer. First of all, make sure the camera is in Airplane Mode. Secondly, on the Live Monitor, make sure the EVF is set to Manual mode. Otherwise the camera continues to search to see if an eyeball comes up to the viewfinder. That takes battery power which continues to be drained until the function is turned off. There are many other tips and tricks to save battery charge that can be found by searching the internet. Advertisement Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Hi melias99, Take a look here a6000 camera batteries. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Username
When I'm driving in the car from one location to another, and all I have to do is plug the camera in with the same cord I would use to charge my phone. But yes, at home, I always use the charger from the 5n to charge a battery as I swap out for another. ............ The widely used and well respected Wasabi batteries come packed as a pair of batteries plus a charger for $30 and the charger has both automotive and household connections :-) I would NEVER drive around with my camera outside of it's padded bag, and certainly not with a USB cord plugged into it ... naked OR bagged. Thaz just begging for damage ! But maybe you drive only in places where there are absolutely zero sooprizes on the road ... you know, all those mythical places where nobody has auto insurance cuz nobody ever needs it ? Good places to launch the self-driving car cuz it never hasta dodge any emergency situations.
Rangerman133
For what it's worth, I just recieved a battery charger for my NEX-3 which I found recently. I do plan to get a newer sony camera soon, and was pleased to see that they do use the same batteries! the charger I recieved is a very cheap feeling 'neewer' brand. When I shake it, sounds like a loose peice inside lol. Looks and feels very dodgy, but did get the job done!
