Thank you for posting this here, the topic on the FF lens category has been going for some time now and even though it has been read more often than any other, it still hasn't prompted any reply, fix or acknowledgment from Sony or their associated parties,

For anyone who's new to the Alpha A7RII camera & GM lenses, is professional and works regularly in a studio environment please do yourself a favour and read the above link, it could save you a lot of frustration, anger & disappointment before you commit to this system.

Bump

As you've noted, this is widely covered elsewhere

[link above] but worth the bump none the less .....

As a studio camera, one simple and convenient

solution is the LAEA3 A-mount converter and a

couple of A-mount lenses. Unlike converting to EF

or NF lenses, you get the basic conveniences and

using Sony's OEM converter involves no firmware

voodoo nor compatibility lists :-) Acoarst there's no

State Of The Art newest schnazziest features this

way .... but we're talking studio here. If you need

eyeball tracking AF for studio work, you are in the

wrong bidnez.
