a6500 Open Memories Tweak

Just bought the a6500 and trying to eliminate the 30 minute record time using the Open Memories Tweak.

Followed the instructions to a T going into MTP mode first then going to the website downloading the PMCA

file.. Once I click on the Install Open Memories Tweak on the web page I get this message: Error:Plugin not loaded.

Anybody else having this problem?

I'm not familiar with the Open Memories Tweak. It's sound like something black market if it's promising to break the 30 minute record limit.

 

Sony actually just put out a warning that it does not guarantee any 3rd party apps.

 

Is it designed specifically for Sony cameras? Most black market firmware and apps are usually for Canon.
