Under $1,000 may not be possible.

The there's a standard Sony full frame 24-70mm which I believe is $800 or a Zeiss 22-70mm F4 which is really amazing. Over $1,000 for sure but it can serve A LOT of functions.

As you've probably already learned by now your old APSC lenses will work but there will still be the cropping factor and not all of the A7 RII's sensor will be used. While this isn't ideal they will still work just fine. Even an A7RII not at full strength is very powerful.

The two kit lenses (16-50 and 55-210) cannot stand the high quality of your new camera sensor. For me they are poor even for the APSC cameras. Discard them, sell them for whatever you may get. This will be the best contribution they can give you for IQ.

The 10-18 has good reviews. Although I have never used it, I can expect good images in crop mode on your A7RII. If you get a good midrange fullframe zoom, then the 10-18 can be a good option for wider angle images, at least while you can't get a similar fullframe lens. Some people has tried it in fullframe mode, but I did not like the images that were shown (poor edge resolution and CA). It will also be very handy if you plan to shoot video, as the A7RII is better in crop mode for 4K video. And if in the future you decide to have a second body, any A6XXX can be a nice pair.

Yes, I think you should have kept your A6000 for the little $$ that you can get for an used one and how much it can be useful, but lets not cry over past decisions. Now get the best quality lenses that you can, so to justify the amount you invested on the new camera. To use a lower quality lens will make your A7RII purchase a waste of money. Stay away from kit lenses (like the 24-70mm f/3.5-5.6), get at least the f/4.

Now, based on the lens line that you owned for your A6000, on my experience and others' reviews, this is my suggestion of lenses that fit your needs and honor your great camera:

ZE 16-35mm f/4 (your 10-18 can be alternative while you don't get this fullframe zoom)

FE 55mm f/1.8 (a must have lens for any A7RII owner)

G 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 (the same reach as your late long kit zoom)

Have fun and great images!

I own the A7RII, A6000.

I couldn't find a really excellent general zoom and I tried them all including Sigma and Tamron.  For $400 you can buy a Sony RX10 (used) and will get images in its range that will match any zoom you purchase under $1000 to put on your A7r2.  (I consider the RX10 the best value there is in photography...Zeiss constant aperture 2.8 lens with excellent color and rendition)

For what it's worth, here are the lenses I find myself using over and over on my Sonies:

1.  Zeiss 35mm 2.8 and 55mm 1.8

2.  Sony 90mm macro

3.  Sony 70-200 F4 (have the 70-300 but it's image quality is far less than the F4 70-200)

4.  But for general use, the Canon 24-70 mm 2.8  with adapter is a superb lens and beats the Sony general range zooms at a fraction of the cost.  (around $500 used)

I second for the Sony Zeiss 24-70/4 which costs in the US around $949.

Personally I prefer prime lenses and they better be in FE mount. Adapted lenses tend to limit the possibilities of the camera's performance (not picture quality wise).

I agree with Tinplater to have the Sony Zeiss 35/2.8 and/or 55/1.8
