Purchased a a 6300 would like to use M42 screw pentax lenses . Any comments would be welcomed.

I use my lenses from my Zenit 11 on my Sony a6000 with a M42-NEX adapter, my favourite is a Tessar 2.8/50 Carl Zeiss Jena. I just got a cheap adapter it is working fine.

Pick a 50/1.4 Takumar (any version) and a K&F m42>Sony E lens adapter (7/9€). I'm not a Pentax fan, but this is quite a nice lens.

 

In terms of other manufacturers there are literally hundreds of choices, some (Carl Zeiss Jena glass, for example) generally really high regarded.
