Greetings all
I recently own sony a6000 with kit lens and bought Kipon, Canon EF to Sony E mount AF adapter. I use my canon ef 50m f/1.8 and took some snaps. However the image quality was not as I Expected. Sharpness is ok but contrast and dynamic range is not fine. Color cast look very week. Dull color and I am not satisfied. With kit lens it has very sharp contrast color. Any idea about this. With camera setting can we get good image quality. As per youtube review this adapter is fine. Also I am very new to sony and still learning. Guys please give me your idea about this. Hello Muditha

resolution from your test shot is not so high so i can not really see what is wrong

but some sugestions:

watching your test shot i would say white balance is not correct and the focus point is also wrong i think, i would try MF and adjust the White balance in the camera and

use RAW files !

adjust White balance manually before shooting, you could also try the in camera presets but they work only with jpg

the shirt and hair´s looks very sharp but the eyes are not i think, maybe you should also take a faster shutter speed

if you use RAW than you can easily adjust sharpness, color, white balance and contrast later, i do not think the EF is a bad lens, but you have to adjust al this things and maybe you make a preset in your RAW developer so if you load your shots in the software it will adjust them for you

Thank you for the advice. Still I am new to Sony and not yet got enough time to hang with my new A6000. However I will try again with manual settings. As you mentioned I hope this is due to wrong settings and I will get nice result with proper settings. Thanks again
