Sony F43M flash on A7 II

I bought my A7II and the H43M flash in July.  When I first used them together they seemed to work fine.   I just went to a party this past weekend and was taking pictures (set to fill flash -in the camera menu, not the flash mode button, as the mode button won't register fill flash as its supposed to do) in both auto and shutter priority @ 250 for dancing couples.  Then suddenly the flash stopped.  I tried to put it back on, but it would not go on in A,S or M, only in auto. I checked it again today and same problem.  Calling Sony support was no help. 

 

I also mailed back their RMT-VP1K remote as this malfunctioned under warranty.  Seems my new Sony products are starting to fail...?  Any suggestions?

Try to reset the settings on the camera. There are some menu settings that interfere with the flash. In my experience, that's the most common cause of flash problems.
