PROBLEM??!!

I recently purchased a brand new A6300 from BestBuy.  Today I started using it and everything seems to be fine EXCEPT that the popup flash - pops up - but DOESN'T fire.  I've tried several setting as well as auto (P, A, S etc.) - still no flash.  

Anyone have any ideas of either what I may be doing wrong or is the camera defective?

The only time the flash won't fire is when you're using silent shutter. If that's off, your camera is defective.
