Just received my Sony 50mm 1.4 and brought it with me to a recent shoot for a jewelry fabricator.  I was really pleased with the lens, bokeh was sweet, focus was fairly responsive and the colors/contrast was very good.  It was a challenging day, heavy heavy rains, a tornado alert during the shoot, then followed by flood warnings.  Nonetheless, the team carried on and I decided the lens earned a permanent spot in my gear bag!  Glad I bought it.

On another note, due to the heavy rain and the grey overcast on the day of the shoot, lighting was limited.  Therefore, for fill, I used two Flashpoint (Godox) Explore 600 TTL's set on manual.  Key light had a 48" Westcott Rapid Box and 2nd light used for a bit of backfill was mounted with a Glow 28" Octabox.  The image was shot at 50mm, 1.4, 1/400, ISO 100.  I intentionally wanted to darken the background and shoot at a constant of 1.4 so I didn't want to lock in a shutter speed in order to stay within normal sync speed.  Thus, I set the strobes to High Speed Sync as not to restrict my shutter speeds to 1/250th or lower.  Transmitter was the Godox X1T-S (Sony Version) and it behaved very nicely on the A7Rii.
