Hi folks, I just joined the forum. I have an A7s and an A7rii (plus an IR Nex5N)

I have just bought an unused Minolta MC W.Rokkor-HG 35mm f2.8 lens, and need to get an adapter. I have two K&F concept adapters, one PK and one M42, both of which work well on my 3 cameras. However, I see that people listing K&F adpters fro my Minolta lens say that it won't work on the A7s or A7rii, presumably because of the metal as opposed to plastic lens mount. Has anyone tried this adapter on either the A7s or A7rii, and will it work? Alternatively, anyone know of a good cheap adapter that will work?

With my A7II and several Minolta lenses there is no problem using the this k&f adapter. It also works fine with my MD W.Rokkor 2.8 / 35mm. Could you post a link where the problem is described in more details?

It's on several ebay posts where people are selling this adapter; it says it's not suitable for the A7s or A7rii....

that´s very strange; now I have found several ebay posts with this text:

NOTE: This adapter will NOT fit on the Sony a7S, a7 II, a7S II, and a7R II.

all the pictures in these posts show an adapter like mine, very strange, since I did not observe any problem with my Minolta MD lenses at my Alpha7II

Seems to be about tolerances. The older E-mount was looser. I've got a K &F adapter that fits fine on my A7S, but it's tighter than on an A7R. Seems the sellers just want top make sure you don't complain…

Thsnks for the replies. I will get one and see if it works. The other two K&F adapters I have work really well.

Don't use cheap adapters.

For explanations don't search ebay, search this forum.

The only problem I have had with cheap adapters is an extension tube getting stuck on the lens. The 3 cheap adapters I have work as well as the one expensive adapter I have.....

I have just bought some AF enabled extension tubes for £15 that work really well.

I just received the K&F Minolta adapter and it works fine on my A7S and A7rii....
