Got my new Lense from a local Photostore, its an old Minolta 50 mm MC Macro Rokkor QF 3.5 used with a Xsource Adapter on my A7II. Amazing how sharp this old lense is and how good the Bokeh is. Its built like a tank and the focusring is like butter. You have to boost the contrast in LR but theres no sharpening needed. I got this baby for 70€ :-))

Nice! I recently shot exactly this image of the Minolta lens cap with the MC-X version of this lens on my NEX-5T :D

And, if I may add, I took the liberty to review the Minolta MC Macro Rokkor 50 mm f/3.5 (MC-X) on my NEX. Exceptionally well corrected CAs, no visible distortion and very flat field leading to uniform sharpness across the whole frame (on APS-C, at least). Sharpness of my copy isn't mind-blowing, when used for non-macro work. Still very good, though.

Great shots! I am relatively new to using Minolta lenses and need some help finding the right adapter. Can you please point me towards a site where I can find the one you used to hook up the lens to your a7m2?

I am using an adapter from China that looks exactly like this one:

Seems to be much more expensive in France, though. I paid 15 € for mine :D

Nice! I think you could do better to use extension tubes than crop to magnify? How effecrtive is image stabilisation at macro ranges?

I plan to use my Canon 50/3.5 macro on an A7 soon as I get the FD adapter.

Hello, Haimdaimer!

I found a quality Cnon FD/Sony adapter from this seller. Maybe you can ask him about a Minolta adapter.

All the best!

The IBIS works great on the a7 II since the update 1.20. Seems to me though its working even more effective without adapters like with my zeiss fe 35mm 2.8, you can really see it in the viewfinder how good it works on the image. But its still working very good with this macro lense also, and also with my samyang 85mm and 14mm

Anyone knows which extension tube i could use with this lense?
