Soligor 135mm/f2.0 & A7: a couple of portraits

Hi all,

Decided to share some photos I took with my recent purchase - a Soligor 135mm f2.0. If you're looking for an ultra fast, ultra sharp, lightweight and compact tele.. well keep looking. Apart from being an f2, this beast of a lens is heavy (metal and glass only) and quite unwieldy when mounted on my A7. Still, what it lacks in terms of handling and sharpness wide open it more than makes up for with character and build quality, so I absolutely love it.

Enjoy  :)

Hi all,

Soligor 135mm f2.0. If you're looking for an ultra fast, ultra sharp,

lightweight and compact tele.. well keep looking. Apart from being

an f2, this beast of a lens is heavy (metal and glass only) and quite

unwieldy when mounted on my A7. Still, what it lacks in terms of

handling and sharpness wide open it more than makes up for with

character and build quality, so I absolutely love it.

By your description, every aspect of it, this would seem to

be nearly the same lens as my Soligor 85/1.5. Very slight

changes to the optical design would shorten a 135/2.0 to

85/1.5, and shortening it would naturally produce the one

stop of extra speed, given the similar sizes of the lenses.

Has every aberration you can imagine plus a couple more,

huge build and glass, and a 16-blade iris. It's a T-2 preset

prolly from 1965 +/-. Gets pretty sharp around f/11. Lomo

and LensBaby got NUTHIN on this beastie :-)
