No DMF With 10-18 on a6300???

Can anyone check whether there is supposed to be automatic focus magnification when rotating the focus ring on the 10-18 lens when mounted on an a6300 when in DMF focus mode?

 

It seems to work fine with the 16-5 PZ and with the 16mm f/2.8 Pancake lens, just don't seem to get the automatic magnification with the 10-18.

Ok, how do I do that???

 

Is there a USB socket on THE LENS itself?

 

Or do I have to download it onto a card, put the lens on, turn the camera on , and do it through the camera?

With the lens mounted to the camera, go into settings > version. It should tell you the firmware version of the camera and the lens.
