Need some help with video

Hi guys ,

 

So I'm about to take a video of a 11 hectare area that is overlooking the city and sea. I have the sel 35 and kit lens for a6000.

 

I have 2 tripods a >

 

vct r640 tripod 

 

sirui ballhead tripod

 

sony remote

 

 

The area is not yet developed ( actually the grass right now is being cut and other plants that are obstructing the cinematic view ).

 

1.) What is the idea time so that the buildings, and the sea and skies are clear? Went there last Monday around 8 - 10 am and the buildings were not that clear ( smoke ).

 

2. ) Any video tips I should do? Since there are 2 areas, 1 is 5 hectares and the other is 6. Should I take videos on all "key areas" ? Or corners? Or just the best spots of the land ?

 

3.) What video software do you recommend so I can edit the clips and put them together in a Cd, tried windows movie maker it's ok but I want to try something with effects ( mostly text effects ).

 

4.) I will also be taking pictures of the area so I can use it in tarpaulins / posters/ facebook so I can advertise it.
