A7R - white curved line appearing in nearly all photos

I have owned the A7R body since around October, 2014 with absolutely no issues at all until the beginning of June 2016.

 

Since June, a white streak has appeared in the vast majority of photos taken with the body and any of the three lenses I own (28-70, 70-200 and Batis 18mm). The streak is increasingly prominent when using faster shutter speeds.

 

Please let me know if you have any idea what the streak may be from and what steps should be taken to correct it.

It looks like a major light leak. Your mount is likely damaged on the camera body. Put on the body cap and take a long exposure in a brightly lit place. If you get anything other than pure black, that camera needs to be repaired.

try silent shutter and see if it still re-produces the issue (Shutter blades, or an issue with your mount) try taking some photos in direct sunlight shining on the lenses with the lens cap on, and if you get the same issue on the black photos.

On 3 different lenses in exactly the same way? I really doubt that. At first I thought that it might be a reflection from a filter that mirrors part of the text on front of the lens but that would differ more from lens to lens. I think Mr Fox and Mr Stewart are right in their assesment. Installing a tough mount might solve the issue. Regards,
