LA-EA4 problem with tripods and monopods

Does anyone have a problem using the LA-EA4 on A7S while using a monopod or a tripod. I have ordered 24-70 f2.8 with LA-EA4 for my A7S, but feel it may not fit on my monopod.

I find that I have to fit the QR plate to the adaptor, not to the camera because it won't clear  the adaptor when on the camera body. It's not what I would call a problem though, it's actually better balanced.

As Michael_j says above, also the larger A mount lenses have their own tripod mount.  Use the other tripod mounts before using the one on the bottom of the camera and you should be good to go.

 

I have run into trouble if I wanted to use the adapters mount when I have been using my Minolta 80-200/2.8.  The Minolta lens is rather fat and the tripod mounts I've tried get stuck on the lens before you can mount it to the adapter. But the lens has a mount.

Thanks Michael, thanks Austerror! Big relief to know it will fit on the adapter and I would not need to buy any other accessory for the purpose
