What shutter speed was you using? as it captured movement/blur on the front page of his body.

Which lens did you use out of interest? been wondering what people might use for macro on sony cameras

Following his flickr link, I see he is using the Sigma 105mm 2,8 macro lens.

 

I do own an old copy of that lens too, that I used to use whenever magnifications around 1:1 are needed. Not really my favorite lens though.

 

One lens that I love for "macro" photos like the one here, would be the Sony 70-400mm G lens which allows very decent magnifications without disturbing critters. I have used that tele along with some Kenko extension rings for quite decent macros. Heavy combo though and you'll need good light to have shutter speeds around 1/500s.
