Olympus OM lens caps fit E mount

I just discovered that Olympus OM rear lens caps fits perfectly and snugly not only onto Zuiko lenses, but onto E mount lenses as well.

 

That's good news because they are often cheaper, but mostly because if you go around with just one adapter and a bunch of Olympus legacy glass you will be able to standardize the lens caps you carry, making less of a mess into your bag!

 

 

BTW, the Contax-Yashica's as well fit, but they are less tight so tend to unscrew easily.

Amazingly E mount caps can be sourced cheaply at the local Sony website for only €6 a piece including shipping while local retail price is a whopping 20 euros.

Can't imagine brand new original OM caps can be bought cheaper

Well, not original ones, but I just bought a bunch of them for 1.8€ each  

 

But, like I said, more than the money saving I like to be able to keep things simple bringing just one kind

There is a guy selling E to M39 adapters on #Bay for 5€/ piece. Each comes with a rear cap. There are about a dozen uses for the adapter- to be used as such or to explot the E mount flange.
