For me it's the numb-nuts idea to make the wheel control shutter speed?

 

WTF were you thinking Sony?

It is right where your palm hits the camera.

 

The result, a near infuriating frequency of shutter speeds anywhere except where I put them

 

Can we PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE  have a firmware update to be able to LOCK the shutter speed...

 

And the other moronic thing is the inability to set a custom white balance when in 1 or 2.

This is completely stupid because if I am setting a white balance based upon a card reading, it's not constant is it?

So I need to be able to recall a memory setting for the type of shooting I'm doing AND set a custom white balance on top of it.

I found that there is a solution, so maybe I'm the dumb one

 

There is a wheel lock setting that is activated by holding the Fn button until the lock icon appears.

Oh Joy of joys

 

Now, where can I set a custom white balance when on memory setting 1 or 2?
