A7r with Tamron 150-600 but no raw in JPEG+RAW setting?

I might have posted this in the wrong section of the forum but for the sake of repeating myself....I seem to have a problem that my A7r is set to JPEG-RAW but when I attach my Tamron 150-600mm zoom with the LA-EA4 the camera only saves JPEG would anyone why this would be the case.

Have you tried the RAW only setting?

 

If that works, I'd try setting it back to jpg+RAW. Sometimes turning it off and on again helps.  Or if RAW works, don't worry about the JPG files...
