bracketing

i know if you bracket with uncompressed raw the bit rate drops from 14 to 12.  i do not have this camera yet.  are you able to bracket uncompressed raw without losing any bits?

Clearly you must be speaking of auto bracketing.

 

If you manually bracket, the camera has no way

of "knowing" that you are bracketing, thus it will

treat each manually bracketed exposure as just

another exposure cycle.

 

If you cannot manually bracket, there's no real

loss in working from 12 bit files, since you would

be able to choose the exposure that requires the

minimum degree of enhancement, reducing the

need to push the tones to their limit when you

work on your selected files.
