Can the A7RII hot shoe be used as a plain old manual flash trigger?

I'm aware of the low voltage restrictions on the camera's flash trigger circuitry, but for my modern radio slave triggers, is the hot shoe of the A7RII capable of working as a plain old manual flash trigger?

 

If not, which of the adapters might be recommended, and what are the advantages and differences between them?  Many thanks for all info.

It just a regular ISO shoe, ignoring

those teensy tiny contacts hidden

under the front edge.

Used a set of plain yumcha no name ones on the weekend and worked without any problems (took about 150 shots).
