A7ii with adapter screen goes dark?

Having some problems with my A7ii using commlite adapter and Tamroon ef lens.. Since the 2.0 firmware upate notice improvement on AF, but before the update have this problem where it focus hunts & cluttering sound(?) and all the sudden the screen goes dark.. Have to restart the camera to clear it.. Even with the updated firmware it stills does that, is this normal behavior for adapters & 3rd party lenses? I've been using MF only cuz' I'm afraid that odd behavior may damage my camera in the long run..

Have you tested the adapter with another body?  Might be an issue with the adapter.

Tried it on my A6000, takes a while to focus and when it does? Not fully focused.. No dark screen though? Will do more testing on this set up.

Might be an issue with the adapter then.
