Two Lenses Scorched by Adapter/a6000

I'm sick!  Went to take a few photos with my Canon Sl1 using 55-250 EFS lens...wouldn't communicate with body (got a message to clean contacts).  Thought the lens somehow just failed, but then tried my EFS 10 - 18...same message.  Put the lenses on my 70D...again the body wouldn't recognize the mounted lens.   What did the two lenses have in common?  I had tried to use them with a King adapter on my Sony A6000 a week ago.  They wouldn't work there, I just assumed some lens/mount incompatibility. Now it appears the adapter camera combination  damaged the internal electronics of the two lenses.  Anyone heard of this problem before?  I'm going to be left with $$$$ repair bills, if they even can be fixed.

Never heard anything even similar.

 

As to "$$$$ repair bills" .... never on

those lenses. They're the very least

expensive lenses in the lineup, IOW

repair is by direct replacement.
