Shooting the super moon

The moon is just a big, faraway object illuminated by the sun.  Start with the Sunny 16 rule and then maybe open up a stop or so.  You'd be surprised how short an exposure you need for the moon.  Of course that means everything else in the evening sky is underexposed, so you have to choose which one is your actual subject.
