Eye AF & Face Detect

Can someone please confirm, I cannot get a definitve answer.

Does Eye AF & Face detect work with Canon lenses on the Sony A7rII?

Does it work on all lenses, some lenses, other lenses or no lenses at all?

It works on the native lenses. When a third party lens such as Canon is used you get a message saying invalid with this lens. Not sure about non sony lenses that are designed for the a7 series such as the Batis lenses.

By the way, that is eye AF, can't remember about face detect off the top of my head

Face detect does work on Canon lenses.  But. as with any wide-area focus scheme, face detect will focus on the nearest part of the area, so if you've got shallow DOF, you'll likely get a nose or cheek in focus and eyes slightly soft
