Try Auto focus on Fe 90 f2.8 G macro oss

i have to say that is the fast Af for macro lens  with my A7II i never using Af for macroshoot..this is my first try..

Interesting - I have found the opposite on both the A7R and A7S. The lens hunts so badly that I am now using it on manual with better success.

 

Is it down to the different AF system in the A7II vs A7R/S?

If you're using the --> 0.28-0.50m <-- / 0.50-infinity / full range - switcher AND have enough light AND the background is "far away" (e.g. 1m or more) with other contrast, THEN the AF is fast.

Something else is with the eye-recognition, there you're camera know what to do, and it's really fast without the background far away and contrast.

 

Tell you're camera what you are looking for (choose AF-mode, focus point, face detection, eye focus, ...), know how AF works and you'll get faster AF.

With my Tamron 90mm I almost never used AF, but with FE 90/2.8 it seems to work pretty well on my A6000.

I even tried focus bracketing using the Bracket Pro app.

i try minolta 100f2.8 rs on my A7 with Laea4 i love the colour ..but this one is really good ...
