Tair 11a on the Sony a7r

This is a cool 135mm f/2.8 Russian lens known for its 22 (!) blade aperture. However, despite the many aperture blades, it does not have particularly smooth bokeh. Nonetheless, it's kind of fun to shoot with, although rather soft. The edges of the image are somewhat soft on the a7R even when stopped down, but generally it is quite useable. When shooting night scenes with bright lights, the 22 blade aperture produces pretty cool 22-pointed stars when stopped down. There is some purple fringing wide open but this mostly goes away at f/8, except in extreme cases.

You may realize the serial number is the same as on the lens on the Wikipedia article about the Tair 11a.
