#16727 My Sony A7s Landscape Portfolio

Posted by Wimair on 30 December 2015 - 06:22 AM

Hi there!
I thought, I'd share some of my newer landscape-pictures I shot with my almost one year old A7s. I switched from a Canon 5Diii to the Sony A7s, regularly using my old Canon lenses and some newer Sonys.
One of the first pictures I took with my new camera. It's Austria's Hallstatt Village.
Also, since I own the A7s, I really got into night-photography. Here's Europes "highest" church at the top of the Dobratsch-Mountain in Carinthia, Austria, and some other random shot at the Sommeralm in Styria.

I'll add more from time to time :)

Hi everyone!

This is a follow up to my older topic that can be found here: http://www.sonyalpha...-with-the-a7ii/

I haven't posted in a while and I'd like to share some of my newer images. Since i've started shooting with the A7II (and new to sony) in Feb this year, I already won multiple awards and many magazine placements. I even got featured in the biggest magazine of my homecountry the Netherlands : Digifoto Pro Magazine, that put 5 pages about me :) I'm a happy Sony owner and I'm doing everything I can to create beautiful images with this impressive little bodies! These are some of my newer images I am proud of:

#1286 List of all Full Frame native E-mount lenses

Posted by LeButler on 17 January 2015 - 01:08 AM

As of early August 2015:
Sony are actively working on more FE lenses tba in 2015, the first of which is a “wide aperture prime” (85mm f1.4?).
Sony have also stated they will release “faster zooms”, so expect a 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 in the future.
Zeiss have said Batis will become a range of lenses, chosen to fill Sony’s gaps; at least one more Batis is expected.

#41 Trip Report: Scotland, Lake District and Wales with the Alpha 7

Posted by Phillip Reeve on 03 November 2014 - 08:30 AM

This September I traveled the UK for 3 Weeks and I had a great trip, the weather was awesome for UK standards and I spent a lot of time taking pictures of this beautiful country, I wished we had such nature here in Germany.
Most of the nights we stayed in hostels but we also spent 4 nights in our tent, more of that later.
My gear for the trip:
  • Sony a7
  • Sony Nex 5n as a backup and small camera
  • Canon FD 2.8/20
  • Minolta MD 2.8/35
  • Minolta MD 2/50
  • Tokina 2.5/90
  • Canon FD L 4/300
  • a small Sirui Tripod
  • a Lowepro Backpack
In spring I carried my Minolta 1.2/58 and Canon TS 2.8/35 to Portugal and I found the weight annoying so I replaced them with lighter lenses which I did not regret as we did lots of hiking.
My FD L 4/80-200 stayed home as well but I took the 300 with me which was a good decision because I only took the 300 with me when I really needed it so all in all my bag was quite a bit lighter.
if you have any questions about locations, gear or whatever just ask:)
Day 1 and 2: Edinburgh
We spent the first two days in Edinburgh which is a great city but at the end I was really looking forward to less busy places.

Day 3: Driving to Skye and Arrival
Most of the day was spent getting the car and driving to the Isle of Skye, but we when we arrived there was a nice sunset and the harbor of Kyleakin at the blue hour was nice as well

Thanks for the kind words so far :)

Here's something "a litte more special": Fireflies in a nearby forrest. It was kinda scary, walking through the woods all alone as it wasn't as bright as it seemed to be in the picture.
Plus some other milky-way-shot I took during the "pleyades-shooting star season" last year.
